To commemorate 20 years of Remains of the Day, I’ve been compiling a box set titled OMNIBUS. The collection will include all of the band’s albums along with the entire archive of unreleased recordings, videos and memorabilia. As I dig through the boxes and build this collection, I will be sharing parts of the archive online, marking key performances and releases along the timeline. Follow along in the Archive.
Both Sides is an album of dualing themes. The first being that of social commentary, the impact of isolation on our lives, growing political turmoil and social injustices. These are the themes that run throuigh the first five songs of the album. In the same moment - in the same breath - there is love and joy and hope and fear, captured within the last five songs of the album. The duality of the years we lived through apart and together remain as one, both sides of a concurrent story.
